I collect eagles. If I saw this for sale, I would pass on it. There are several features on it I do not like. I'm not saying it's not original, it is aesthetically unappealing.

Odd color for a heer eagle? Looks blueish on my monitor..
I like birds with the thin wire outer wings, embroidery imo looks period.

Hello Ron,

It has all of the aspects of an original eagle that I like to see. I believe that it might be for a Wehrmacht Official, probably not the correct name. They had collars on their tunics that matched the base material of the eagle.
