Luftwaffe tropical tunics worn by Heer soldiers

I have see on this site Luftwaffe M 41 tropical hats redone with Heer insignia. Were Luftwaffe tropical tunics repathced and worn by Heer Troops?

Would say its certainly possible considering the shortage of tunics reaching the front in Afrika, especially during mid '42. Allied tunics were badged and worn so why not ? However it was much more common the other way around with entire units of LW flak wearing Herr tunics badged with LW insignia early on in the Afrikan campaign. In some cases the LW eagle was applied directly on top of the Herr eagle....

26. Panzer

Years ago, I remember seeing a grouping of pictures from soldiers of the 26. Panzer Division. They were identifiable as such by the unique cap badges. They were wearing a big variety of Heer uniforms, Luftwaffe uniforms (tropical) and some Italian stuff too!

Here is the only photo that I have saved in my archives. You can clearly see a Heer eagle and collar tabs on a Luft tropical tunic.
