What does this badge with horseshoe mean..? Seems to be a kind of cavalry unit. Tunic wasn't cheap I suppose, but nice items must cost. Very nice, little worn m43.

Horseshoe patch is for "Hufbeschlagpersonal" (qualified farrier).
Not necessarily from a Cavalry unit as many other servies arms had horses
all of whom needed the services of a farrier.
