    Hello Don;
    The "rectangular" shape of the collar tabs indicate post war manufacture / issue.
    I believe they and the boards are original German military issue, but post WWII.
    I'm sure others will provide their opinions as well.

        Not to say one way or the other on when they were made but didn't the open collar DAK tunic utilize rectangular tabs like these?

          tabs

          I have seen them worn like this but the general rule is post war and the guy that is selling them has post war items east german items for sale so I say post war made.

            The DDR used rectangular tabs. I'd be interested in them if you want to sell.

                    Indeed! The Munster Tank museum has Rommel's tunic on display with such tabs...
                    but my comfort zone would also be non-rectangular for WW2!

                        Personally, I would love to grab a set of rectangular tabs to join my other sets were I able to confirm pre-45 construction. These give me a bit of pause however due to the odd dotted outline on the rear.

                          Here's Rommel again with a rectangular set...but these are risky...No doubt 9 out of 10 are post war!
                          The tabs appear to be much wider than the MUnster Museum Rommel display!
