Is this style of collar attachment on a panzerjacke (with the seam showing instead of folded over) considered common? Thanks!

Sir, if I am understanding your question correctly, IMO, the finishing of the 'collar end' depended on the manufacturer and each 'style' was no more common/uncommon than the other.

What I was really asking (and sorry I was unclear) was the collar attachment being visible on the outside of the jacket, and not folded under. In looking through Scott Pritchetts's wonderful set, out of all the hundreds of examples shown in period photos and in the examples from collectors (including in the foremost, you), I was only able to see 3 constructed like this "for sure" and a couple of other "maybes".
