is is a deutsch WW2 mantel ?

IMHO this appears to be a Surcoat or Guard Mantel. It should have a thick blanket type lining and was designed to be worn over the standard overcoat. These are documented in Angolia's Army Book Volume 1.

Yep, it is an overcoat, to be weared over the uniform and regular coat while on guard. Good one but a bit salty.
