I haven't seen many of these but it looks nice? What were these issued for and what are they usually worth?

Deputy Air Defense Leader of the Army armband.
The Army mobilization Order of March 12, 1937 introduced a large variety of armbands that were worn to identify personnel performing specific duties or functions of the Armed Forces.
Most of the armbands were worn on the upper left sleeve of uniformed or non-uniformed personnel, and were worn only while the individual was performing the specific duty or function identified by the armband.
As the War progressed, it was determined that additional armbands were necessary to identify the growing need for specialized duties and functions, and as a result, assorted identifying armbands were introduced as required.
Although generally everything relating to aviation or air defense fell under the domain of the Luftwaffe, the Army districts within greater Germany were responsible for air defense within their territorial region.
As a result, the Air Defense Leader of the Army, and the Deputy Air Defense Leader of the Army armbands were introduced by regulations of August 15, 1942.
The armbands were almost identical, with the Deputy Air Defense Leader of the Army armbands having the addition of two vertical light blue tress stripes.RonR
