Typical Heer Waffenrock that was converted into a Field Uniform. They took off the piping and dark green collar and cuffs and added field grey ones. The tabs are really nice. Some have subdued eagles and provisions for slip-on shoulder straps. Shame this one was badly damaged as it would be a good example of how this conversion was done.

The tab say "Waffenrock"

Probably done late war and sat in a depot and then was not stored well afterwards.

Very interesting to see the paper tag which states it is a Waffenrock with modifications.

On the second example some remnants of artillery piping remain on the back panel!
Neat to see these with a tag!
Here's a better (enlarged) picture of the other tag on the damaged example.
Note the poor quality of the cuff wool used for the modification! or is it HBT?

The cuff material is wool on my one and I think the same on the originally posted tunic.

This is another example that I have but the modification is a lot poorer. However you can still see the white infantry piping on the front inside closure.

Fantastic examples with the paper tags stating modified Waffenrock. I have never seen this tag before.
