I think those men belong to Stug-Abt 243, maybe the Stab.Battr., but i can't distinguish for sure if the white point located in the upper right corner inside the shield visible on the stug side is club.
The pic was probably taken during spring 1942 in Russia, maybe may/june in the area of Maloarkhangelsk, when the unit was refiting before participating to operation "Fall Blau".
The wrap could be a first pattern mouse gray type, or maybe custom made, with Beute russian denim material for instance.
