I think I mentioned he died in Elsterhorst Lager which was a camp with poor conditions for German POWs immediately after the War.

Also quite touchy for me to see here the uniform of my grandfather, Ewald Heinrici

(I remember we had another one + boots stored in our rooftop, when I was a child, but pls. don't ask me, were they are gone ... ;-))
Whatsoever, thanks a lot for researching Ewald's story, since I didn't know all those details either, e.g. the trial story ... but of course, we can share more information, if you like!

By the way, and yes, Ewald and Gotthard were cousins (maybe of 2nd degree). In the hard times, Ewald has spent in the Kadetten Corps, he used to spend holidays with him in East Prussia.
