fieldmade splitter smock ?

Hi,

I have picked up this piece last week....it is strange,sort of a mix between a smock and the three pocket GJ anorak.Material looks period and I have a good feeling about it.
The zipper is marked PRYM and the buttons are marked but hardly readable...

I'm very interested what other people think about this piece

yes it's a really minefield

During the last Ciney arms fairs in October, I've seen a splinter smock with a breast pocket. Unfortunately I don't have any picture

The seller claims it was post war made and used by the French army in Indochina: it was patterned like the smock of the French "Jeunesse et Montagne"("Youth and mountain") organisation shown bellow.

Hi,

My example came out of Germany and I have paid as much a good Zeltbahn would cost.But is has a softer feel to the fabric,maybe it was washed several times.Although it did had that particular ww2 clothes smell to it ;-) He also had an italian camo jacket that I purchased as well.Maybe I will show that one later.
