    Waffenrock eagle question

These are considered by collectors to be flat wire waffen rock eagles, intended for their parade uniforms, usually worn by NCO's.
I would imagine such eagles were also occasionally also seen on officers dress and field combat tunics (as opposed to Bullion) versions.
    Am I right?
Are there any examples to show on officers feldbluse uniforms?

Period photos...Waffenrock style eagle? (wide two tone border)
or is it just a regular BeVo flat wire one?

      Nick,

I have alway seen the 1st model ones used on tunics, particularly on the light weight summer tunics. Never ran into a tunic with one of these 2nd model eagles that I thought was period applied, but not out of the realm of possibilities. Matt

This is not my tunic...its a web image... but I am restoring something very similar...
          (same unit even...Panzer Regiment 8)
Note eagle! A trimmed waffenrock eagle....based on the angle its probably a replacement...
          but was it done?
and if so was the eagle trimmed like this or applied with a wide border on a uniform (other than a Waffenrock)
          Examples?

The eagle shown in post two that you think may be a flatwire is hand embroidered bullion. The flatwire eagles were worn most often on field service tunics but also on service tunics.
