    Help Identifying Wehrmacht Cap Badge

Hi, I have this item in my militaria collection but have been unable to identify it. It comes from my grandfather's estate, one of a number of items he left me from his service in the Wehrmacht. He was an Oberstabszahlmeister by the end of the war, equivalent to Major but more of a civil servant/military crossover. This (I presume) cap badge seems unrelated to that however, or at least I have not been able to find it anywhere else. So I am not sure if it was actually part of his own uniform or just something he picked up during the war. Can anyone identify what it is?
    Many thanks in advance!

    Hello,
Pictures are kind of small, but looks like a standard army (dress) visor cap wreath that has had a separate soldier profile added to it. I can't quite make out the reverse of the soldier too well, but if it has a pin or the place where a pin was, it may have been a commemorative tinnie from a special event, or it could have been mounted on the front of a photo album or something similar.

      It's a cap wreath and a tinnie.

Great, thanks! Sorry about the size, I'm new to this way of attaching images. It did seem a bit improvised to me. Any idea what kind of event the tinnie might have come from?

I can't say for sure either, but I suspect it's some type of "Tag der Wehrmacht" event or another.
