    Feldbluse from Vet's grandchild

Hi folks. Last week my younger brother came to me and said a comrade of him mentioned he owns some military stuff from his grandfather but he isnt interested in it. So i took the chance and visited him in his parents house. He showed me a nice Feldbluse and i bought it for little money. The kid told me that his grandfather shot himself in his foot with a pistol to avoid participating in ww2. Over the years it suffered from moths but all in all a nice one. Could you give me more informations about it? Thanks in advance!

Great early Kav tunic, I wouldn't mind having it tucked away in my collection. Nice to see with the early chain stitched boards. Matt

A very attractive tunic that many of us would love to have in our collection.

Lovely jacket looks to have had a cufftitle at one point

Thank you guys for sharing your opinions. @ Gran Sasso: the tunic was found with 2 steel helmets (which i will post the next days in John Burnetts forum). The kid said he is sure that there is still a photo album floating around that he will sell to me too.

Maybe the missing cufftitle is glued in...

                Best regards

                  tunic

Apparently he did not shot himself in the foot in a sufficient manner. Bet he was in Africa afterwards as per the missing cuff title.

Parts of the 6th Cav. Regt. were used to form Aufklärungs-Abteilung (mot.) 33 which was under the 15th Panzer Div. and served in Africa. Soldiers fro mthe Cavlary units were allowed to wear their old private purchase uniforms from their "Friedenseinheit" with the unit designation throughout the war.
