The collar tabs are a later model than those normally seen on a Model 36. This tunic has been shortened considerably enough to cover the belt holes. I would guess it was tailored into the Soldier's walking out dress uniform. That would also explain why it has sewn in shoulder straps. One could tell more with some better pictures.

Yes, The collar tabs appear original. Interesting that this tunic was resized twice and both size measurements were crossed through. One would expect to see the shoulder boards held on with attaching straps if it is a re-issue uniform and not a Soldier's fancy uniform. I am sure others will add to my knowledge on this one!

Hi Vic,
I too agree with the others comments on this tunic. In my opinion, it all looks perfectly fine and original, save the probably replace breast eagle, but I am ok with the boards and the collar tabs being original application. It looks like a nice tunic of this style.
