    Hello Chris,

I am planning on doing one on Flatwire, Panzer, and Tropical Eagles. It will just take a little while. I believe chevrons are my next adventure.

Thanks for the insight Fred; a very informative thread for me too.
I must say though that I still have a "soft spot" for the early versions design wise. I really have to get me some of those!

        Regards

        JC

I see two officers Eagles in that pile I would love to have.

Many of them I've seen for the first time, and if I was offered them, I would say - they are odd, strange fakes.. This shows, how much effort and knowledge cost every collector now to have good, original exhibits, when market is flooded by so many dishonest fakers...
The most disturbing is fact, that so many of those fakes looks so good, that many of us would say – I'll be glad to have it!

                      Hello,

Keeping an eye on the fakes is a full time job too!

                              Hello,

I have come across some 2nd pattern eagles done in first pattern colors. I believe that these are just transition pieces when they were changing the pattern of eagle to be manufactured.
