i get it.
but people have been faking things much much then 25 years ago. this material and this piping has been in abundance easily for at least 25 years (as much as i hate to say it)

Well made fakes in my opinion. They just don't make sense. Tropical Pz transport? Why would these have ever been produced? Matt

I am not a believer in these tabs as well.

There certainly were Nachschubtruppen" attached to
Panzer units in that theater, but one would think that they wore the
issue tropical tunic.
Whereas there are many photos of skull tabs being
worn by armored unit personnel on their issue tunics, I doubt that
other ancillary units of armored units wore tabs such as these.
(i.e., Medical, FGM, etc.)

The construction of these tabs, however, is excellent, and lend credence to the position that they are wartime manufactured.
They are obviously unissued, so perhaps a particular Nachschub commander authorized their manufacture and use on a "local" basis....

Without ironclad provenance, however, they are relegated to the "Might Be
Real" category.
