Breast eagle...

Hi All,

Recently I learned about the "5 feather" eagle, and thanks for that.

I recieved this picture today, and what..?..is it a fake eagle..??..

Can anyone supply me with info about this eagle.

Picture is from Denamrk, june-july 1944, he is a member of 4./ Pz. abt. Norwegen (is written on the reverse side.)

It appears to be the standard first pattern Panzer eagle.

Ah, many thanks, need to read up on this I can see..

But rather late to see such an eagle..?..or maybe not.:?.Were they produced all through the war.?..

In the period photo a early wrapper is being worn but these earlier type eagles were used by factories up until the end of the war (surplus)

In the photo I posted it is the original factory machine sewing,folded as a trap on a late 44 date wrapper,which I consider somewhat rare.
