WH medical Unteroffizier boards san abtlg 14

    Hi all,

recently bought these boards on ebay.

Believe they are original, but opinions are most welcome.

Old pointed style, not waffenfarbe except for the numbers, LW litzen.

    Best regards

Very nice originals and also very hard to find with the numbers remaining.

Nice shoulder straps. The Litzen is actually normal Reichsheer style often found on this style shoulder strap.

          Hello,

As the others have said"Very nice boards" They appear to be dark field grey(reseda green) to me and not dark Green. What ever color they are they are very nice.

Pauke, yes, you are ofcourse right, they are originally Reichswehr litzen.

Fred, I do not know enough to tell weather they are dark fieldgray or green. I would, with the boards in hand, call them dark green.
Any way to show that difference..?..

And, not to forget, I need to thank Glen Hendricks for pointing me at these. It is good to have friends..

                  and Glen Hendricks!

I concur with others here that these are nice examples of original Heer medical straps. What is unusual about these straps is that Kornblumenblau Waffenfarbe is difficult to distinguish against the dark green facing (of the M-36) and was usually outlined by light blue chain stitching (as were black Pionier Numerals and cyphers (with white chainstitching, for the same reason)). This was not always the case as can be seen here.

I thought OSS' examples were very nice and illustrated some good points.

Here is another example where they did not outline the numbers for a medical unit. I have seen Pioneer examples also.
