    Division cap badges / Divisionsabzeichen

    Hello everybody!
I want to start a thread in the forum for the divisional cap badges
I have a small collection of divisional badges, I'll lay out a few pieces in this topic
Just here, you can upload your Badges units if you have
I think many forum users will be interesting to see the pictures
    Let's start!

    11 Panzer Division (Angern)
I have two badges of this division
It's Gespensterbrigade 110 and division badge "ANGERN" this badge is rarely comes across I recently bought a beautiful picture with a badge on the uniform of a soldier, it will also be presented here!
Unfortunately I do not have Gespensterbrigade 111 ((
If someone has this badge and you want to sell (Gespensterbrigade 111) I'm always ready to buy
Also, if you have any of the three badges 11 Panzer Division and you do not know the original or not
I can help you in this with the confidence of 99%) for this I need your badge quality images on both sides!

    121 Infanterie Division
This badge often fall into Kurland and Russia
On the Internet a lot of fakes, the badges, and sell them as originals! ))
I have the original badge and picture of the icon on the headdress Soldier)
Also, if you have such a badge and you're not sure of originality
just show me a photo in good quality and I will tell you that you have an original or a fake

      122 Infanterie Division (Greif)
This badge often comes in Kurland and Russia
I think it's the most common))
As far as I know, this badge was produced in two versions
In one version, the rear side of the pin in the other version of the rear side of the pin with a twist icon
Also, I have a picture with the emblem of the division by car

Nice thread. I was never sure if the 11PD badges were wartime or a postwar veteran honor badge.

            You have the original badge
Many people need to be aware that the badges of this division have a lot of fakes
and many online stores sell them as originals, or did not say at what time was made this badge )) is very disappointing in relation to the buyer!

              Hello guys!

Thanks for sharing, I didn't even know german units could have pin's/crests like these. Must be hard to find and hence pricy?
Would it be possible to see a picture of that back of the pin? In identifying a fake is the back important or are the details on the front sufficient?
Thanks again for sharing, it's very interesting and looking good

              Regards

              JEB

Almost all German divisions had its own emblem, some of the divisions created its own emblems and the private producers made it for them (it could be different fulfillment) other divisions tried to produce emblems at the plants which produced icons (if they need a great number of units), the other units of soldiers which had no opportunity to be given any icons, the soldiers made (cut out) it themselves improvised, mostly they used pieces of aluminum, brass, zinc. Later I am going to share/post the self-made division badges, which I have maybe same of you will share the photos of your self-made badges of german units. For the identifying a fake it is important to see the both sides (back and front) and also the photo must be of good quality in macro mode (if the fake is of a good quality) depending on the quality of a fake sometimes it is enough to see only 1 photo)) if you are in doubt than send me just one good quality photo of your badge and I will say you whether it is a fake or not))
IMPORTANT: All the fakes which I can distinguish I will indicate with those icon's photos which I am going to post/share in this topic For the present it is 11. Panzer - Division "Angern" and 121. infanterie-division, concerning the 122. infanterie-division (Greif) I haven't seen any fake!

                    continue

                    215 Infantry Division
This badge is often found in Kurland
as the icon there are many fakes but they are easy to distinguish
Photos with the emblem of the division from the Internet

                      61 Infantry Division
I'm not 100% sure, but I think the badge is 61 Infantry Division
Maybe someone will correct me if I'm wrong
                      Photo taken from the Internet

I would like to show off my new purchase
                          All three Badges now together
I hasten to say a big thank you to Bill for our deal
was looking for the badge S.R 111 and thanks to Bill, I bought it

Now, all those who are versed in this, I will have a question
Badge №1 "ANGERN" is a divisional badge 11 Panzer division or brigade badge ???
Because one of our forum user says this badge
"The pin IS the ANGERN pin its for THE BRIGADE - and not for the DIVISION "
Then what badge for 11 Panzer Division?

I also love these distinctive unit insignia. Trying to display them has also been a challenge for me. I tried putting together a compact display of most of my badges. Jim
