Hi Forum, I have seen tabs like these with basket weave piping in a few other threads. The construction, materials, and design seem to be inline with non-typical, but wartime pieces. Two of the threads I found, mentioned that pieces like these have been brought back from the Italian campaign? The skulls also have a less common design but I believe they are period as well. The piping is pink as you can see from the reverse and they have no glow under a black light.

The piping is mis-shapen due to having been sewn on a uniform forever. The fronts have seen quite a bit of wear and the reverse looks to have been protected by the uniform.Last edited by D Funk; 12-02-2015, 09:00 PM. -
