Em's combat tunic upgraded to officer?

Greetings all!
A friend of mine has asked me to list this tunic to see what the WAF members think of it.......
Pioneer Officer's collar tabs and shoulder boards for an Oberleutnant. It obviously been extensively tailored to the inner. Finish to inside tailoring looks pretty rough, but I guess if it was done long after 1941, that would explain that. Provision for wearing of the Heer Dagger, with the metal attachment for dagger hangers marked "RZM M5/28c". Ink size stamps nice and clear, maker's name not so. The collar shows a great deal of wear, perhaps disproportionate to the rest of the tunic? Any thoughts or concerns?

Hi David,
In my opinion, this appears to be a nice original issue tunic, upgraded for officer field use, by addition of the dark green collar and officer insignia. I think it is a fantastic piece.

Yeah you don't see the enlisted eagles on upgraded pieces often. Correct though!

Very nice tunic! Sometimes an offiicer eagle was added over the EM eagle, this one just kept the old one, very nice

I completely agree it is an upgraded M40 tunic with a re-tailored pointed collar and flattened lower pockets. The collar tabs and shoulder boards are restored IMO as they do not match the condition of the tunic. The officer breast eagle was probably sewed directly on top of the EM eagle and it is possible that it just has never been restored back on.

I might agree with you regarding the collar tabs, but the shoulder boards look original to the tunic. I have an officer tunic which has a factory eagle and never had an officer eagle sewn over it.
