    Hauptmann officer tunic for review

    Hi,

I hope, that this one is original. Collar tabs and eagle are hand-sewn.

But what kind of badge was on the right pocket? The loops are too narrow for a DK.

The tunic, as well as the insignias look good to me. Possibly a DK winner.
I think his DK should be a earlier Deschler 6 rivet, like this one:

For sure an original 5-button (early) WH/Army officers' tunic.
I f the wearer was a DK winner, this tunic m i g h t have belonged either to Siegfried Moldenhauer or to Wilhelm von Oertzen. Both were awarded the DK Gold class while serving in Infantry Rgt 48 as junior officers. Considering the decorations awarded and those that might have been pinned to the tunic, Moldenhauer is most likely. Just my clue that could be refuted.

              Thank you all.

I´ve also never seen this kind of cloth for the inside of the
              sleeves before.

Great call!! I agree Siegfried Moldenhauer, think you are right on. He also won 2 close combat awards and the KC and all the award loops indicate this is the best choice. IMHO makes a great looking tunic special to hsitory.
