Hi Troy,
In my opinion, everything is original, but most likely put together after the war. The breast eagle is very early pre-war period, the shoulderstraps are for a reservist, so most likely pre-war, and the tunic is 6 button front, so made most likely after 1941.
Thank you and best wishes,
Curtiss

Cavalry collar litzen??? + crudely applied reserve status Infantry Captain boards...had a metal cypher at one time?
When the war broke out all reservists were called up for active duty and these gray backed boards became obsolete if I'm not mistaken!
Its a nice uniform but it can use some TLC. (everything handstitched on I was told by the person that shared these close up pictures)
I guess an early breast eagle on a mid war uniform is really not problematic, could be a preference, or status thing, showing early enlistment...
but here its positioned too low...and the way its stitched on makes me feel that it's most likely added to a denazified uniform . VERY NICE PARTS!Last edited by NickG; 09-10-2015, 08:37 PM.
