The tunic looks good to me. It is manufactures with good quality cloth for a tunic depot marked 1944.
late M 43 tropical tunic dated 1944 with poor quality cloth http://dev.wehrmacht-awards.com/foru...ighlight=ditch
Could you get close ups of the collar ( inside and outside) and the eagle ( inside and out). The eagle and tabd look original from afar.
I do not know much about tropical shoulder boards.
thanks
An original later 3rd pattern tropical tunic Vaughn. Difficult to judge the boards whilst sitting on the tunic. We would need to see them laid flat with both obverse and reverse photos.
Not 100% certain about this one - the stamp font and the twill just leave me wondering... I'd like to see the interior details, under the pocket flaps and the edge of the seam (selvedge) where the back is sewn (interior) please?

Thanks Vaughn,
The additional images help greatly - definitely late war quality base material - the selvedge was what I'd hoped to see and that's all good. The stamp font is what initially threw me off. I'll keep that for my records.

I agree with OSS....... original tunic......... insignia probably replaced. The eagle seems to have stray treads and a faint ghost out line of a previously sewn eagle? With that said, I have seen (very) late produced factory issued tropical tunics with continental insignia attached. Seems like the tunic was a depot queen! Steve
