    OK -

Here are some shots of the boards on field gray. In hand I would say they appear more brown than copper brown, at least to me. I don't collect LW, so I can't really comment onthe variations in color. There was a 2nd Signals Abteilung as well as a 2nd Kradschützen Regiment inthe Heer. To me, it looks like the boards were converted to slip-on from sew-in boards. They are the shiny parade-style boards.

Luftwaffe used light blue for Transport, too ...

Here is a respective set for a Leutnant of the Luftwaffenfelddivisionen.

I didn't realize that. I trust it must have been for officers only as I have never seen that piping for EM/NCOs like you do for the Heer.

Interesting I have a twin of that shiny light blue set...thinking it was for a transport Heer dress tunic...but also slip ons...(not sew-ins or T-boards...)
So those are for Luftwaffe Feld Division supply officers. Great news!

Back to the recon copper brown topic, here is an impression that I have of a lieutenant in recon, based on a very salty M42 combat tunic with upgraded officer size
custom M36 collar and replacement pockets sewn down, no bellows in the skirts!
          Note NON shiny boards used!

I guess the color could also be early Heer "bau" before they switched to black for construction...but such an early impression would mean a much older M36 style tunic,
and this salty dog is a later M42, so I am calling it Aufklarung! (Recon!)
Such farbe collar tabs are difficult to find...(Surfaced in South America of all places!).

Set would look good with this Recon officers side cap (= Guild image)!
