Heeres Taucher Tätigheitsabzeichen (Army diver proficiency badge)
This came up in the head gear section discussing splinter camo caps.
Thought to share it hear as well for those who might have missed seeing it.

I was familiar with these in the Kriegsmarine of course but not in the army!
Issued to divers in the corps of engineers (pionieren). Color footage from a bridge building company.
Any examples out there to show?

Navy version.
Any green backed Heer versions to show?

This is possibly the rarest Heer specialty patch and makes a brown bevo Edelweiss look common. A period listing of such in a manual would be very interesting or perhaps the unit had it produced?

Yes could be a custom job I guess...not sure on the regulations, if it officially existed (in Heer use)

For such a skilled hard hat diver trade it would only make sense that an insignia would exist.

Weitze has this "Pionier Taucher" material for sale (pioneer diver proficiency book) currently !!
(earned after completing a course between Nov-44 and Jan 45).
This trade patch probably came with the Engineer-Diver certificate!
