Odd Boots...Opinions Please.

Hello,

I just purchased a uniform and these boots were part of the deal. They look right but boots aren't my area. If you guys could take a look and advise, I would appreciate it. I haven't seen this style before.

Hi Duane, I sure that these boots are original and date from the pre war period. I have seen photos of them before somewhere but I cannot recall where now?

I dare say that Manny (who is our resident boot expert) will be able to tell you more

Indeed, they look like the pre-war Reichswehr boots. I have some pictures (some where) showing GJ while training in the mountains wearing these kind of boots.

Manny will know for certain ...

I agree with Ade and Bart, these are absolutly original and indeed Reichswehr/prewar-era.

Here's a picture of them being used in the late 30's.
