    German collar-less sleeve shirt?

    Hi all,

received this German shirt today together with WWII German winter underwear.
Does anyone have an idea when these collar-less shirts were made and by whom they might have been used?
The material looks and feels like what is sometimes found as lining in late war German tunics.
Thanks in advance for any help.

This shirt appears to unbutton all the way down the front? As far as I know all Wehrmacht shirts only unbuttoned partway down and had to be pulled on over the head.

            Hi CHris,

no it actually is a pull-over type shirt. It only has the three buttons showing.
The "seam" that you see is from how it was folded over the years.
What puzzles me is the fact that it has no pockets and no collar.
I'm sure there muct be somebody out there that knows what this is.

                Hi Ben

I have heard of collarless white shirts worn underneath the actual shirts or tunics and one can see many in period photographs.

Having said that here is one that looks quite a bit like yours for sale froma famous dealer in the US.
