    real uniform or fake

Is this a real or fake cavalry standard bearer's pre-war dress tunic because if this is a fake I wont buy it.

the uniform itself is OK IMO, the flagbearers patch i cant say anything about it, i have seen one time a uniform with the patch on. I cant s say for sure but the Bevo style insignia looks pretty good to me, lets wait for some more opinions regarding the patch.

The flagbearer patch does not look like the fakes I've seen on the market.

Looks like a very, very nice uniform..at least judging by the pictures!I like the chest eagle (quite rare even for a put-together,whic I think is not the case here!!!) and the bearer insigna looks ok, but let's wait for opinions coming from our friends into BeVo insigna...it's a rare and elusive patch and it's a nice piece in its own right!
All in all I like this uniform!!!

            Joe:

I like this uniform very much. The early style tunic and insignia all match up very nicely. Hard to say from the pic if the standard bearer's shield has been there for 60+ years from a photo, but I would lean towards thinking that it has.

            Very nice!

            Regards,

            Drew

Not at that price for me

That is a superb looking tunic though.

                    Hi Joe,

Both (tunic and Bevo patch) seem Ok, it's just as Drew said ... how long has the patch been there ? The price says it's original to the tunic ...

                    MfG,
                    Bart

Ouch, that price hurts to look at. The patch is 500-600, and if I was asked if it had been there for 70 years, I would say look at the way the bottom has bunched up. I think that after being on the tunic for that period of time, the material would have relaxed and sort of melded together, just my observation, but I still would not mind owning it,
