Just thought I would throw this out there. When uv/black light testing, I understand that nothing should glow if it is an authentic, period piece. but does the same hold true if the item is made from satin? Some armbands from this period (like rlb armbands) were made like this and any feedback would be wonderful. thanks!

Hello Michael,
It's not the fabric that glows, but the dye used in the fabric. Generally only post 45 white fabric/thread will glow as well as some pink fabrics. You would only need to be concerned if you have an item made with white fabric or sewn with white thread that glows bright neon blue. Otherwise UV is useless.
