    Hi Bob, yes, shame, DID mike tell you? if they were real they would have been worth a little fortune as they are very rare. I took me years to find a mint un touched pair. :-)

    The pips are also very hard to find. Oak-leave Militaria want 800 dollars for a mint pair LOL

      Yep he did
      here what he said about the boards
      quote...They are five loops, which is not regulation but some do exist and have been documented. Of course five loop was regulation for post war German Generals.

      It is hard to tell from photos, but they are certainly not one look pieces. Sometimes in hand examination is the only way to tell. end quote

      only $800 i think i could a little better than that

        A few more pics of the insignia haul,My Thanks to My Good Friend Dave Wyatt and his good Wife who accepted the original parcel for me took these pictures for me and made sure everything was well packaged for the trip over to England

        Despite the fact the General's collar tabs are repro and the Jury is still out on the General's boards
        I'm really pleased with this find,I must add there are other items that do not belong in this thread & there may still be more items to come

        Will keep you posted
