Hello Tony,

This is Reichsheer tresse which the Luftwaffe later used. It comes in silver, metal, aluminum, white cotton, and grey cotton from what I have seen

Fred is correct and it was used during the early to mid 30s until replaced by diamond tresse but continued to be used on a smaller scale the Heer and by the more often by the W-SS until the end of the War.
