Black Leather

A WWII Army FA vet was at my home last evening and we were sharing our collections with each other as it was the first time we had met.

He has a black leather (heavy - fine condition) kind of coverall with black sheep wool on the inside... zippers on the forearms and up the front....

I took a few pictures which I can post if anyone is interested...and also got a picture of the makers label - it has a tag inside date 1 Mai 43.

My new friend wonders what it is - he thinks it some kind of rough weather gear... I told him someone on the forum would probably know.... Thanks.

Sounds like a Kriegsmarine item. Look closely on the front and see if there's a faint eagle-M embossed there.

Could also be LW.
I used to have a black leather coverall with fur inside that was used be the Czechoslovakian and German air force during the war.
