Thanks Fred, and pardon my ignorance, but I believe the first pattern one is the white eagle in the middle left as you view it?

You nailed it right on the head!! I really like the transition era between the Reichsheer and the Third Reich and this is the most prominent piece of insignia that was changed on the uniform. It only lasted a year and a half at most and it is really not an asthetically pleasing eagle to most.
