You are correct - the cuff tabs are for an Officer's waffenrock and do not match the EM collar tabs.

And the way the cuff tabs are sewn through the cuffs indicates replacement.

          Hello,

The cuffs have been replaced, not just the cuff bars. The cuff bars are strange in that they have no base material, colored badge cloth, to them.

It is also very strange that there is an rb Number in it!?! The tails are not piped either and the tail buttons appear replaced.

After the War started issue Waffenrocks were sent to factories to be refurbished for general service wear. I would guess that is why it has an RBN. The dress cuffs and piping on the rear vents may have been removed and the cuffs and odd tabs added later at some point probably by a collector to make it look more like a waffenrock again. For some reason, often all the piping was not removed and the jackets were reissued for wear with piped collars and lapels with the cuffs removed, sometimes with the cuffs left but without Armelplatten or the piped collar was replaced with a field grey collar and there were many other variations. Pretty much every combination or modification was worn.

As far as I can tell after quick search, IR 110 was not in Krim but Grenz IR 124 was with the 72nd ID. The dark green badge cloth bases for campaign shields were sometimes used on tunics (most often dress tunics) instead of the off green/grey and sort of crude wool backings that came with campaign shields. Too bad it has been altered so much but very interesting to see.

Those aren't even original cuffs - just green badge cloth with the piping sewn to them.
