First time tunic buyer. If you can spare some help I would be in debt

    Howdy folks,

Well I have dove into this hobby feet first and it might be time for me to take the next step. I have a few extra xmas bonus bucks that will be burning a hole in my pocet pretty soon here. I also have a display case that seems to be filling up to fast and I would not mind moving one item out of there. I aquired a great salty visor from Dave Kane and I think it would go perfect on a mannequin with a tunic. Now this would free up some much needed space for some of my small photos and knick nacks, but I really want to add a tunic to my collection.

This is where you kind folks can hopefully come in. I am going to attach a picture of the visor and I wouldn't mind a few suggestions on what kind of a tunic I sould be looking for to match up to my visor. Now remember I am still very much a rookie to collecting and specifics and history so any help you guys can provide would be a godsend.

I know that the visor is from an infantry officer so thats where I need to start my tunic search.

On a price guideline I would say about $1100USD is where I would like to stay in as a max.

Thanks in adavance for anything you folks can offer

    Greg:

I'd get an officer's M36 field blouse to go with the hat. I would think that you could find a nice one for well under $1100, but who knows with the prices now days...

    Good luck!

      hy Greg,

i would say just take your time, if nobody offers one here, just have a look on e stand. If you are unsure you can allways post the uniform for inspection here in the uniform section, there are allways plenty of guys ready to help.

        Thanks for the comments folks

Now to find myself a matching M36 at a decent price. I don't need stone cold mint as the visor has some character and I think it would be nice if they complimented each other.

I know that patience is a virtue but come the end of the month I will have a few bucks burning a hole in my pocket. I;ve been checking the delaers sites but I am sure they are charging a 15+% premium over what the cost really should be.
