Hello folks. Since I'm not sure where exactly to post this, I thought I'd start here. This is a piece of camouflage material that was amongst a much larger lot of souvenirs, sourced earlier this year, from the estate of a deceased US Tank Destroyer veteran of WWII. There was a nice mix of items, and this seemingly innocuous piece of camo material which I've as yet not been able to identify. Is it even German? I'm wondering if it's perhaps a small piece of parachute material? The measurements are probably irrelevant, as it appears to have been torn off of a larger piece...No markings I can find, either. It appears in the "group-shot" with the items it was found with, at the 10:00 position, folded up. Can anyone ID this type of material for me? Thanks in advance!

It IS an early (very early), SS sports insignia...It was quite a topic of conversation when I first posted this group. Any idea WHAT the camo material is??? Given what was in the lot, I have to assume it came from the ETO somewhere along the way...I'm in total agreement that it doesn't appear to be any German pattern that I've ever seen, not US either. British perhaps??
