            Hello Burnout,
The jacket appears to be a first pattern tropical tunic called M41 by collectors, with officers applied insignia. The real question here is when the insignia was applied.
            Thank you,
            Curtiss

Collar patches are sewn on the wrong side ? reversed ?

Agree with nick! There is a first clue about when the insignia was sewn on! Better be getting this at a smokin stripped tunic price and I would not drop a dime without much better photos. the tabs can be properly sewn on later if all checks out but I would treat as a humped up possible fake until better photos arrive!

Looks to be a stripped 1st pattern tropical tunic with all the insignia post war applied, cyphers look like they were added yesterday. But really need better photos. The parts look original from the poor photos, very much doubt they were on the jacket during the War.

Looks to me like a light weight tunic from a canvas/duct type material, not exactly a factory produced 1st pattern tropical tunic, or is it just the quality of the pic's? See the fabric texture in the second close up picture. The cut to the lapels is too abstract for an M41 tropical, no chest darts either that I can see from these shots.

I would treat this as a tunic with spun up insignia. We have seen photographic evidence with inverted applied collar tabs before, but would still assume post war applied insignia by these picture alone.
