Hi all,

Recently bought these boards from one of the forum-sponsor. The boards looks fine to me, but this is the first time I meet white painted numbers.?..have anyone seen similar colored numbers..?..
The numbers are small, approx 1 cm in hight.

Secondly, I have a very hard time to find a unit with the number 80. Can anyone help..?..

These small metal numbers are correct usually on early-war straps. I have had examples with red, signals yellow, white and dark blue painted numbers on them. Why medical-piped straps would have white numbers I could only guess. Perhaps he was with I.R. 80 or only had white paint available or just wanted the numbers more visible than dark blue would be.

Thanks for the comments, it is my first pair with colored numbers, so I was a little unsure.
