            There are many threads on this topic. They are good reading.

            IMO from a purist perspective these boards are Bau, but also IMO, they were used interchangeably in service. Both types are rare.

                        LIGHT Brown was used by pre-1936 signals and also Bautruppen,
                        but I agree with OSS that these straps are Repros.

                            I just saw the color comment, I would tend to lean with the others that they are reproductions. Decent but still repros in my opinion. Matt
