pls help to identify this Wachmantel

    Hello gents,

I got this Wachmantel recently, it has the same cut as the M44 W-SS sentry coat without the french cuffs, but it was made Kriegsmarine like blue wool.
At first I was thinking it's a dyed WSS coat, but nothing is discoloured in the liner, only the wool is blue. Do you know any idead to what branch it belonged?
I mean Kriegsmarine, TeNo, Bahnschutz or anything else? There's a tag in the inside where the usual markings used to be but it is totally faded
    Every opinion is welcomed!
    Thanks for watching!

If its not dyed blue maybe its Reichsbahn related...? They had to equip their train operators with good winter gear for Eastern front operations...
      I don't think its KM..

Thanks! Reichsbahn was also on my list as a possibility, If somebody knows an "in wear" picture pls post it!

I do not think that this would be a civil converted coat, as every piece of the materials and the buttons are factory applied and original to the piece. As I wrote before it is the same in every detail as a late war M44 Waffen-SS sentry coat (I know as I've owned several of those), the only difference is the color.
It even has the maker tag (at the same place where WH sentry coats used to have) which is sorrily totally faded and so it cannot help to solve the mystery.

As Nick stated Reichsbahn would be plausible for me, but I would be happy if somebody could confirm this!

anyway thanks for your answer I think we can disbar KM from the question

You are right, the coat is the same as the military model M44, it remains only to understand why the color.
