1935 modified waffenrock

Hi all

Can you confirm this waffenrock tailor made for combat dated 1935 is all original for you ? I don't know this model pre-ww2 war .

It was a waffenrock and was modified for service use but not necessarily for "combat". All numbers were covered at certain times during the War not just in front line areas.

Your tunic is an Officer's Old Style tunic, thus the 8-button front and slanted hip pocket flaps.

A modified waffenrock is easily identified as such since it would have a seam entirely around the waist, which your tunic does not have.

Yes, I can see the line in the back is staining from the belt not a seam. The jacket is the RH "model" of 1927 and may have been worn during the French campaign, I would try to research the officer by name tag.
