Unknown Unit Cap Pin

Has anyone seen anything like this? I would say that it belongs to some sort of Skijäger unit, but I have not identified it. Help please.

Hi Patrick,

Just that I'm not aware of any German Gebirgsjäger unit having this sign, and that this is no cap pin ... The needle would stick through the cap and probably injure the wearer. These were intended for lapel wear.
As far as the Gebirgs pins, like the (period) Gams and the ULLR were handed out by the unit and were not bought as is commonly believed.

A unit of Jagdgeschwader 26 "Schlageter" also used this; just which one escapes me right now but I can find out later.

Hallo BergführerKiser,
can't help with the right unit, but is it brass? it looks very similar as manifacture of a gam recently posted on another forum and to some U Boot pins which I believe are sold for vets or as repros. I had a sawfish and still have a FJ comet made this way. IMO, this is not pre 45, but I may be wrong. Regards Zeller
