First for me. I like the pink. Those GJ panzer regiments were killer. Are they offered as the real deal? J

These are very rare but I have seen these piped before in hand and and in period photos. Officers also sometimes would put silver soutache around the edges also.

It is actually GJ Panzerabwehr...this pink farbe =PAK ... Not that you will need many anti tank forces in the mountains...
but GJ regiments had such components too.
I believe these are the main other farbes (branch colors) for GJ sub components plus medical blue of course., lacking here...
It is the real deal, as Johnny noted these existed...( but easy to fake I guess)...the group is offered at $1200 on Oakleaf...

Nick, I was kidding about the tank regiments, I am aware about the existence of the Panzerabwehr in the GJ. I am however doubtfull about this number/ variety of piped edelweisses in branch colors. Piped edelweisses happened very rarely at best. J

Really? I was hoping to collect all the different colors including Veterinary, Nebel, Propaganda and Field Police. I'm sure they could be located if someone thought there was a demand for them.

I know several dealers who could get you all of them in a week or so . If you buy a complete set you get a free coffee mug and a T-shirt as well.

Exactly, collect them all, trade them with your friends. Naturally these Waffenfarbe (Pz. Jag., Pionier, etc. yes even Veterinary) were used by the GJ divisions but to find a group of mint arm insignias with piping, that most collectors have never seen or heard of, is somewhat unlikely and worthy of a small degree of scepticism.

The hardest one to get is chaplain. You need 300 box tops for that one.

These are often seen for sale at the SOS, Etc.
Their origin seems to be from an Austrian fellow who also sells
"Ultra rare" Stug litzen tabs piped in light blue for nachschubtruppe
                              for example.
Also offered are skull tabs for Pz and Stug but missing
the skulls, but you can see where they were...
OSS, I'm sure you know fellow as well..

In short, it's hard to believe that these piped GJ edelweiss are real.
I have examples of standard (not bullion) embroidered edelweiss with silver piping added, but I have zero confidence in these waffenfarbe piped edelweiss As offered by Oakleaf as being real.

In this hobby, the two words that should be absolutely avoided are
"ALWAYS" and "NEVER". Although I have not seen one (or even heard of one)
in a collection, I would say that "it's possible" that an individual GJ did add the
waffenfarbe, (possibly as a remembrance of his service).

                              Only my opinion of course..
