    Heer Eagle ?

Can someone identify this eagle for me?

It is very light weight (like aluminum) but has a yellow cast to it.
It measures 27.5 mm tall and 37 mm wide. The over all detail
    is really kind of poor.

It was a vet bring back from ww2.

I appreciate any help you can offer.
    Thanks,
    Greg

Someone has suggested it might be a early SA cap badge.
    Any thoughts?

    Thanks again for any help.

          Hi Greg

Right Basic NSDAP M29 pattern eagle worn by SA, SS, NSDAP and a few government organisations until later variations were introduced. It could just be age/toning (or the pictures) but your specimen looks gold to me which also existed but is not as common as the silver version

          Regards

          JC

            Hi JC,
Thanks for the additional information. I don't know what to say about the
color. It most definitely has a yellow or gold color to it. Both front and back.
It does not appear to me to age related. This thing has been in a envelope
or the last 60 years. It looks as if it had never been worn. But these are all new
to me. I am just going by what it looks like in hand.

            Thanks again my friend.

It sure looks gold to me too Greg. Silver M29 birds are common enough and found in umpteen designs/variations but I've only seen a few gold ones for sale since my return in the hobby

              Nice pick up

Thank you all for the help.

Here is a quick shot of the group that was given to me.

                Thanks again,

To me it looks like a silver eagle that may have been finished with a thin coat of protective lacquer that has yellowed with time.
