does the gothic "S" mean school staff or something like this, for a communications/signal branch EM?

Shoulder boards

If the piping color is lemon yellow they would be signals school. Golden yellow piping would be for Schutzen or what would later be called Panzer Grenadier. I cannot make out the color on my screen.
