Officer's Jacket - What's your first impression?

Hello guys,

I took a gamble on this jacket, these are the only pictures I have
until I receive it with the post.

What's your first impression? Good or bad?

The quality is pretty good and the shoulder boards have a chance
of being original IMO.

No problems with the jacket per se from these pics, but if I were a betting man (and am) I'd say the numbers have been added to the boards because the plaiting looks a little disfigured where they're inserted. Looks like the collar tabs have been removed as you can see the outline of them in a couple of the pics. Looks like it will be a nice tunic when restored and look forward to better pics when you receive it.

Tunic looks like a nice one, and the shape of the collar tabs appear to be more SS than army. Boards are obviously army, though.

Is there a good army eagle shadow above the pocket? Can't make it out in the photos.

That's also exactly what I thought Robert.

I will give it a close inspection when it arrives to see if there is evidence
of a breast eagle or perhaps a sleeve eagle, you never know!
