I'm a bit puzzled because of that black material, you see under the pink cloth on the moth damage...
But I don't know, how WH should be constructed. These pieces are old, but are they 70 or 50 years old?

IMO fakes.. where it's black that should be thin cardboard.

Although I would love to hear if this was a variation stiffener.

They are original, the black paperboard is fine. Can you feel a piece of metal in there shaped like a large horse shoe reinforcing the outer edge of the board?

So they probably are prewar or very early War era. Fakes do not have that and use of the horse shoe was stopped to conserve metal early in the War.
