Feldgrau wool ,old stock

Hi folks, I have the chance to purchase some German WW2 Feldgrau Wool fabric that was found in Dublin Eire in an old storage depo. I have been told it has been there since 1941/42 and is in great condition. Not too sure yet how many feet there is yet but should be quite allot. Passes both UV and the burn test. My question is, is there a market for this and what might it be worth as I can't find any info anywhere on anything like this being found on the web. Cheers for the help

Check german ebay, there are some simular pieces at the moment, they sell normally well

Interesting story but how did bolts of Heer Feldgrau wool end-up in the Republic of Ireland (neutral country) as early as 1941, I wonder?
Confiscated cargo off a ship?

Fabrics for clothing etc were in terrible shortages after the War. Military wool was sold all over Europe. German surplus wool was sold even in the US. Even as late as the time around the Vietnam War I remember seeing bins of Heer issue blankets sold in surplus stores for 7 dollars.

Agreed ! A much more plausible explanation...these ended up in Ireland after the war.

Hi, yes who knows how it found its way over to Dublin, it should arrive with me tomorrow. I do not have membership anymore so unable to post pics here. I was updated on this fabric today that's its heavy and could be for the greatcoat or winter issue as its thick material. It's not a complete piece either with some cuts taken from it. With the measurements, 2545 mm x 1490 mm at there biggest. So quite allot of material.

2,54m x 1,4m? it is a large blanket

The fabric is approx 2mm thick and definitely not for a blanket
